Welcome to the Campaign for Progress in District 82
Joseph A. Denson for Mississippi House of Representatives
For 19 years, I have had the privilege of serving our community as a trial lawyer, standing up for the rights of individuals and families across East Mississippi. I was raised here, educated in our public schools, and have dedicated my life to this region. As the Assistant Pastor at New Meridian Holiness Deliverance Church, I have worked to uplift, inspire, and guide our community in faith. As a husband and father of three sons, I understand the hopes, struggles, and dreams of families in District 82.
I am proud to be an active member of the Lauderdale County Bar Association, the Mississippi Bar Association, and the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity. These affiliations reflect my commitment to professional excellence, community service, and leadership.
Now, I am ready to take the fight for our community to the Mississippi House of Representatives.
My Promises to District 82:
• Support Strong Public Education: I will champion better funding for our public schools, increase teacher pay, and ensure that children continue to receive a quality education that prepares them for the future.
• Expand Economic Opportunities: I will work to bring jobs to District 82 by attracting businesses, supporting small businesses, and investing in workforce development programs that equip our citizens with the skills they need to thrive.
• Strengthen Public Safety: I will advocate for resources to support law enforcement, reduce crime, and create safer neighborhoods for our families.
• Promote Affordable Healthcare: I will fight for accessible and affordable healthcare for all, with an emphasis on rural communities that have been overlooked for far too long.
• Uphold Family and Faith Values: As a pastor, husband, and father, I will stand firm on the principles that matter most—supporting families, protecting life, and honoring our shared faith.

District 82 deserves leadership that listens, understands, and acts with integrity. As someone who has lived, worked, and raised a family here, I know what matters to you because it matters to me. Together, we can build a future for our district where every child has an opportunity to succeed, every family feels secure, and every voice is heard.
